How to perform the installation of the Components, Modules of Joomla

In the version 1.5 of Joomla the extensions in Joomla like components, modules, plugins, templates, languages pack, are installed from the sample direction and following the same procedure. This tutorial will explain you how to install the JCE component in the version 1.5 of Joomla. Read the following instructions to perform the installation of any Joomla extension.

Step 1. You have to get JCE from its official site. Please remember to download the full package of the version 1.5 of Joomla.

Step 2. Address yourself to the administration area in Joomla > Extensions > Install/Uninstall.

Step 3. In the section of Upload Package File select the option Browse and look for the file of JCE.

Step 4. Select Upload File and Install to upload the archive and get the installation complete.

After this the installation of the JCE component will be complete and you can modify it in the Components menu > JCE.

The installation of any component/module/plugin or theme for the version 1.5 of Joomla consists in the same procedure.

Don’t forget that the components for the version 1.0.x of Joomla are not useful for Joomla 1.5 although they could work for this version if the legacy mode is deactivated.
